C'est le début de l'année... Vous en êtes où de vos bonnes résolutions ? J'ai une théorie sur tout sur les bonnes résolutions, vous savez. Une théorie qui m'empêche d'en prendre. Tout est venu de cet article passionnant, qui explique (entre autres) qu'il est préférable d'avoir de petites mauvaises habitudes que de se forcer à les perdre. Je n'arrêterai donc pas encore la pizza, le sevrage de sommeil et la flemme d'aller courir cette année.

And I still have to make a collage on the cover to make it bearable), but I remembered someone I discovered by chance and I've been wanting to introduce you for a while now - and I'm not that much into fashion bloggers anyway...


Her name is Monika Stojak, she's only 18, and I haven't ever fallen in love with a photographer's world so quickly. I really was incredibly moved by the shots. Now I am just wondering why she's not world famous... yet.

Much much more? It already seemed like quite a lot to me...
O I guess this smart shop picture is the perfect occasion to tell you about something I noticed in Amsterdam. Yes, you can buy magic mushrooms, smoke pot, go and see a prostitute, or even lose all your money in one of the many casinos, and it is all perfectly legal, no problem. But I haven't seen any junkies or even punks in the whole city. Not a beggar, a girl with blue hair or an eyebrow piercing. In what seems to be a very permissive climate, there is simply no one who wouldn't be fitting what I see as quite tight social standards.


There are only 8 windmills left in Amsterdam.

It's written "% ALC" in the bottle. Told ya, fit in the norm.

The cat cabinet is simply a museum dedicated to cats.

And here is the Xmas picture we sent to our families. We took it at the public library, a place I fell in love with immediatly. It is modern, with a lot of computers (the picture below was taken thanks to a webcam on a Mac) and the wifi; it seems huge with its 6 floors, designers lamps, funny shells for people who need perfect silence and huge bay windows; there is an astonishing choice of CDs and DVDs, a restaurant with a panoramic view on the last floor (and two other cafés) and temporary exhibitions.

So I guess we're done with Amsterdam.
(but we plan to go back when it's warm so we can picnic in the parks)

1. I almost lost at bowling... but had real fun there with friends I hadn't seen for a long time.
2. Mum forced me into getting new sneakers, I hate buying sneakers, we shopped for nearly 3hours.
3. Well, that was a helluva New Year's Eve.
4. No, I wasn't gossiping, I was making medical remarks.
5. I threw out some shoes (and am still wondering how I managed to).
6. I spent a whole day in my pajamas. And I loved it.
7. And I whined a lot about being way too lazy to do any homework!
8. I realized I love Nancy Sinatra. Very much.
9. I called my boyfriend to wish him a happy birthday, perfectly knowing it wasn't his birthday.
10. O my... Co-lum-bo!!!

1. I can imitate pandas quite well. (but you will never get any proof of this one)
2. Growing old, I start to like earl grey tea.
3. I do really mind when a place is filled with smoke.
4. Uh... 24 hours without internet are actually a lot.
5. Watching a movie for half an hour without noticing you understand the language is completely possible. Yeah.

Because we all know how we can go green, but don't necessary think about it all the time...

1. Wear a sweater. And set your winter thermostat a few degrees lower.

2. Use a water filter instead of buying bottled water. It's cheaper on the long run, and it generates much less waste. And you can still use a refillable bottle when you're on the go.
3. Recycle your newspapers. It actually makes a really nice wrapping paper (Christmas tip?).
4. Eat local fruit and vegetables. The more food miles, the more pollution. Fruit should be chosen for its taste, not for its ability to travel the world for days, shouldn't they?
5. Eat seasonal fruit and veg. Because it takes a lot of energy to make a greenhouse work. Plus, have you ever eaten a tomato in December? It just tastes weird. When it actually has a taste.
6. Turn off the water while brushing your teeth. Because. It. Drives. Me. Crazy. Mad. Really.
7. Don't boil much more water that you need in your electric kettle. More water to boil means more energy to boil it, and it is going to get cold and will have to be boiled again anyway...
8. You can use your car. Only if your carpooling.
9. Use mineral salt deodorant sticks. I've been using mine for the last 5 months, and I don't think it will be over one day.
10. Unplug turned off appliances and battery chargers. They still suck juice.
11. Bring you own bags to the grocery store. Seems obvious.
